Blessed Be the Name

He Has Done So Much For Us

“Blessed be the Name of the Lord from this time forth and forevermore! From the rising of the sun to its setting, the Name of the Lord is to be praised” (Psalm 113:2,3)

For those of us that know the Lord, we approach Christmas this year with a heart of thanksgiving and worship to our God who has done so much for us. We bless His Name for His goodness towards us. As we look back on this past year, we see His hand in guiding us and watching over us. His faithfulness is a surety in our lives and we are so blessed that He calls us His sons and daughters.

The Father sent His Son to open the door to fellowship with Him through Calvary. Jesus paid the price – the debt of sin has been paid. When we come in repentance and faith in Christ and Him crucified we are saved and have a personal relationship with the One Who died for us. Blessed be the Name of the Lord! We praise you Lord for all your goodness in our lives.

Jesus sent the Holy Spirit after His Resurrection. The Holy Spirit came to live within all those who who call on the Lord in Salvation. The Holy Spirit will come upon all those in the Baptism with the Holy Spirit to provide power for service. The initial evidence of the Baptism with the Holy Spirit is the speaking in tongues. This is our prayer language that has been such a blessing to so many. The Lord has empowered us to go forth with the Great Commission. For those of us that have experienced this Baptism with the Holy Spirit, it is the life of God poured forth in our hearts. I’ve heard it said that the love we have for the Lord in Salvation is increased greatly with the Baptism with the Holy Spirit. It is my experience that this is definitely the case. Blessed be the Name of the Lord! We praise you Lord for all your goodness in our lives.

The Holy Spirit is the power source in our lives. As we place our faith daily in Christ and Him Crucified, the Holy Spirit will give us victory. We cannot expect to live a life pleasing to the Lord through our own efforts or through some combination of faith and works. It’s impossible!” In Romans chapters 6-8, the Apostle Paul shows us the way to victory and what the result will be in our lives if we do not go God’s way (chapter 7). Our faith must be in Christ and Him crucified. Christ is the source of power to live a victorious life, the Cross is the means for that victory, and the Holy Spirit is the power that assures us of that victory. We are not talking about sinless perfection which is not Biblical, but a life of victory over the world, the flesh, and the Devil. Blessed be the Name of the Lord! We praise you Lord for all your goodness in our lives.

We have much to be grateful for this Christmas. That Baby born in the manger in Bethlehem was our great gift from God. The Father sent His Son – God in the flesh. The Son lived among us and died on the cross that we might be born of the Spirit and have fellowship restored with the Lord. The Son sent the Holy Spitit as our helper and guide to empower us for service and empower us to walk out a life pleasing to the Lord. When ours days here have ended we will be brought into the very presence of the Lord and will be with the Lord forever. We have much to be grateful for this Christmas. Blessed be the Name of the Lord! We praise you Lord for all your goodness in our lives.

“This is the Lord’s doing; it us marvelous in our eyes” (Psalm 118:23).

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Always Remember,

God Loves You!
