We were saved by placing our faith in Christ and Him crucified, and we are sanctified (our daily walk) in the same way.

Focus – Jesus Christ

Object of Faith – The Cross of Christ

Power Source – The Holy Spirit

Result- Victory.

With the Lord as the source and the Cross as the means, and that being the object of our faith, then the Holy Spirit, who works exclusively within the parameters of the finished work of Christ, will greatly help us. “For the law (law of God) of the Spirit (the way the Holy Spirit works) of life (life comes from Christ) in Christ Jesus (by what He accomplished on the Cross) has made me free (given me victory) from the law of sin and death (the law of the Spirit of life is the only way to have victory over the law of sin and death)”. Romans 8:2

Defeated Christian Living

In our daily walk with the Lord we are either attempting to live by grace or law (works). If we add anything to our faith in Christ and Him crucified, then we have left grace and are operating in law (works). The result will be the following:
