Why Should I Let You Into My Heaven?

All Will Stand Before God And Give Account

“Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105).

Many are confused today about the things of God and are hearing conflicting views on God and salvation. For those that attend a church, many just accept whatever their church teaches them regarding God. But what if they’re wrong? Eternity is a long time and knowing what God says about it should be of utmost importance to everyone. One’s church may be preaching and teaching the right thing, but the Lord will not give us a pass if they are not telling the flock the truth. As the following verse tells us: each one of us is responsible before the Lord for our own soul.

“So then each of us will give an account of ourselves to God” (Romans 14:12).

God’s Word is the measure of all truth. We must make sure we are not believing or counting on things that are not Biblical. There is no Purgatory. There are no such things as sacraments that bring about salvation. The only one we are to pray to is the Lord. We confess our sins to the Lord, not to a priest. Mary cannot hear or help us. We cannot gain salvation by following church rules. Social justice is not the Gospel. There are moral absolutes. We can not gain heaven by living a good life alone. These are only a few of the false doctrines and beliefs that many accept as true because they do not know God’s Word.

“Every Word of God proves true: He is a shield to all those who take refuge in Him” (Proverbs 30:5).

Some would say, well that’s just an opinion, or the Bible can be interpreted in many different ways. I would suggest that these arguments come mostly from those that have never read the Bible themselves. Considering that eternity is at stake, and even if these arguments are believed by some; you would think that everyone would want to make sure that what they believe is true.

Others would say that they don’t believe there is a God, or they are just not sure. Read the Bible and it will tell you all about how the Lord left His home in glory and lived among us for thirty-three and a half years. Read the Bible and hear the words he spoke – those unlike any mortal man. Read the Bible and the detailed description of His suffering and death on the cross for our sins. Read the Bible about how He rose from the dead which was witnessed by more than 500 people at the time. Yes, there is a God and because of His great love for us, He came to this earth and paid a price for our sins that we could not pay ourselves.

When we purchase an automobile we are given an owner’s manual that tells us all about the car and includes a maintenance schedule. We usually keep it close by, maybe in the glove compartment, so that we can reference it when we need it. If we ignore what it says, particularly about maintenance, then we can have some serious problems. God has given us the Bible so that we can know what He says about our soul. If we do not heed what the Bible says then we risk not knowing about the salvation the Lord graciously has provided and we will end up in serious trouble for eternity. When it concerns our soul, we cannot depend on anyone else no matter how well-meaning they may be. We are responsible to God in the end.

The Bible does say that we can know that we have eternal life. That Jesus paid the price for the sins of mankind on the cross. That we are saved by placing our faith in Him and His great sacrifice at Calvary. That God loves us and does not want any to perish. That whosoever believes has passed from death to life spiritually. That Jesus rose from the dead and has gone to Heaven to prepare a place for us and will return for us so that we will be with Him in eternity. Read the Bible for in it are the words of life. It’s the Lord’s love letter to all those that read it and believe. Read it for yourself. You will be blessed.

The following are lyrics from the hymn, I Will Sing The Wondrous Story, composed by Frank H. Rowley in 1886:

I will sing the wondrous story of the Christ that died for me. How He left His home in glory for the cross of Calvary.

He came and lived among us and died on a cruel cross. He offers us forgiveness and eternal life with Him as sons and daughters of God – joint heirs with Jesus Christ. He gave us His Word in a book called the Bible so that whosoever reads it will know the way to freedom from sin and the blessings of the Lord. What more could He have done? Why should the Father let us into Heaven? There is only one answer to that question! The Father will welcome us into Heaven if we come by way of repentance and faith in His Son’s sacrificial death on the cross for the sin of mankind! There is no other way! The following verse makes it very clear:

“He who has the Son has Life (Life Eternal); he who does not have the Son of God does not have Life” (1 John 5:12).

The following is the Sinner’s Prayer prayed by millions down through the years: If you do not know the Lord I encourage you to pray this prayer and believe what you pray.

Dear God In Heaven,

I come to you in the Name of Jesus. I’m sorry for my sins. The way I’ve lived, the things I’ve done. Please forgive me. Cleanse me with your Precious Blood from all unrighteousness. With my mouth, I confess Jesus Christ. In my heart, I believe God raised Jesus from the dead, and He is alive. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as the savior of my soul. And I make Him the Lord of my life. According to your Word which cannot lie: I am washed, I am forgiven. I am saved. Amen.

If you prayed this prayer and believed what you prayed, then you have passed from death to life spiritually. You have been born from above – born again!

Always Remember,

God Loves You!!
